Africa Watch is operated by Savvy Ventures Limited ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in Kenya. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.
Account data — when you register, we collect:
Usage data — we log standard server access data including IP address, request path, HTTP status code, and timestamp. This is used for security monitoring and platform reliability.
Briefing queries — when you generate a Briefing, we store the location queried and the generated output to allow you to retrieve past Briefings and to improve the service.
If you enable MFA, we send a one-time code to your email address for verification. We do not store MFA codes after they expire.
We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to third parties.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal data within 30 days except where we are required to retain it by law (for example, billing records).
Server access logs are retained for up to 90 days.
We apply industry-standard security measures including bcrypt password hashing, HTTPS/TLS in transit, JWT authentication, and rate limiting. No system is perfectly secure — if you discover a vulnerability, please report it responsibly to [email protected].
Africa Watch stores your authentication token in browser localStorage and sessionStorage to keep you signed in. Authenticated dashboard pages do not use third-party tracking cookies or analytics cookies. The public landing page uses Google AdSense advertising cookies as described in section 8a below.
The public areas of this website display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings.
